The Area

Walk or cycle to award winning pubs, traditional boozers, picturesque half framed villages, fêtes, farmers’ markets, gardens or concerts. Local restaurants include the Michelin starred Stagg at Titley, The Harp at Old Radnor and many more.

Presteigne is the nearest town to Paradise Farmhouse.  It is less than a mile away and a comfortable twenty minute stroll either cross country or down our lovely country lanes. It is a small town of great charm and interest, with quirky shops, pubs and wine bars, butchers, delis and restaurants. The Judge’s Lodging was voted among the UK’s 10 best small museums.

There are also wonderful short and picturesque walks to be found hereabouts, and a public footpath goes directly past the house towards the famous Offa’s Dyke.

The woodland around Paradise Farmhouse teems with flora and fauna. Every day starts with an astonishing chorus of birdsong; every walk reveals a rich variety of birds and beasts.

Further afield there are plenty of places to visit, amongst them Hay-On-Wye, Ludlow and Brecon. The Elan Valley lakes, the Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia, the Pembrokeshire coast and the Gower Peninsula are all within easy reach by car and offer everything from dramatic snow capped mountain vistas to cliff hugged beaches of white sand.
